The Sheltered Garden

Above, a spider plant patiently approaches the light filtering in through a window.

There is a garden in my home that is sheltered from every storm, every vicissitude, save inattention. Most of the plants are in the genus Echeveria.

They cluster on a few shelves under a grow light, next to a window:

They grow in spirals of tightly clustered leaves that more often than not taper to hard, sharp points:

Many have had their appearance altered by humans:

I’m not sure what this one is called:
